I have to watch Crazy, Stupid, Love for fear that my next story idea is too close to that premise. However if it’s not I’ll probably be trying to attack this script for “Script Frenzy” in April. Conveniently this all coincides with a screenwriting class I’ll be taking at City College in SF. (New Years resolution, generate a complete feature length screen play……..)
MCXC #3 - We’ve Crossed the Halfway Point
Alright kiddies, I’m still cooking along here and much to my surprise many folks are still ambling along with me. The list prior to the weekend included Eric L. and Michelle W. (also Raleigh W. by proxy.)
As we’ve hit the double digits cramming upwards of an hour of Mariah Carey into my day has become a considerable challenge. This weekend was particularly rough because I was staying at my girlfriend’s place and she made it very clear that there would be no Mariah in the house this weekend. In order to stay the course I would wake up before her, toss in my headphones and listen to the song as many times as possible before my brain startded to leak out from my ears.
On Sunday I got creative and threw one earbud in while watching NFL pregame shows. Monday was my travel day so my visit to the airport was filled with holiday cheer and grating teeth….so much grating teeth.
Shoutout to Kristin for having her caroling group do a Dickensian edition of “All I want for Christmas is You” at the 5 crowns restaurant in Corona Del Mar.
Still holding strong after 13 days. Today I actually listened to the song 13 times in a row, yes 52 straight minutes of Mariah.
Now on to the totals.
91 total listens X 4 minutes per listen = 364 mins, or just over 6 total hours of Mariah this month.
MCXC - Update #2
Good people of the internet the challenge continues. At this point I’m nearly certain everyone other than myself has dropped out, and that’s ok (he says while weeping into is cereal).
However I persevere and above is a photo of the post it I used today to keep track of my listens. In fact you may notice I’ve listened to the song 9 tmes before 10 am this morning. Must be a record. In fact I would have to assume I can qualify for some sort of Guinness World Record if I compete this challenge…. who knows.
Totals Through 9 Days:
45 total listens X 4 minutes per listen = 180 mins or 3 hours!!
